Classes
Ashtanga
The practice of eight limbs is both dynamic and physically challenging. The vigorous sequence of postures combined with breath is carefully arranged to increase strength, stamina, and flexibility.
Vinyasa
Poses in this discipline are linked together in a flowing sequence to form a creative and playful practice. There is no standard sequence so the pace and intensity will vary from class to class.
Hatha
This traditional practice is usually performed in a very gradual and considered manner. It involves a set of physical postures and breathing techniques, with more static holds than Vinyasa and Ashtanga.
Yin
Quiet practice where we hold postures for longer periods. Yin targets the deepest connective tissues in our body – ligaments, joints, bones and deep fascia networks - to improve energy flow.

School of Yoga is based in Amsterdam and guided by me, Emma van Kooten. I offer an ever-evolving blend of Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Hatha, and Yin Yoga, in a warm and stimulating environment, so you can feel empowered, challenged, and at home within your body.
